I want to say a thing that’s been bothering me since the finale but haven’t mentioned because I couldn’t really be bothered at the time, but I haven’t really seen anyone else talk about it and I think it really needs to be said before Once returns.
A lot of people are paralleling Regina losing Robin Hood to her losing Daniel (the writers included/especially), as though the expectation is that she’ll respond in the same way unless something is fundamentally different now, unless she has *changed*. But that’s bullshit, because the two situations aren’t even remotely comparable, and the assertion that they are demonstrates a gross misunderstanding about Regina’s backstory.
Regina didn’t become the Evil Queen because she lost her boyfriend. She became the Evil Queen because her fiancé died. He was murdered right before her eyes by her own mother while she could do nothing but look on helplessly. Afterwards she had no one with whom she could talk to work through her grief. In fact, she had no time to properly grievebefore she was thrust into a loveless marriage that she repeatedly told her parents she didn’t want.
Someone she cared about was murdered in front of her by her own mother, who abused her her whole life, and she had no time and no support system to grieve for him or to work through her mother’s abuse. The wife of the dude she was dating coming back into the picture is nowhere near the same thing, and it’s really troublesome that people (especially the writers) are looking at what happened to Regina and taking away from it that she turned evil because lost her boyfriend.
A boyfriend for 4 fucking days. 4 DAYS!!!!!!

gentle reminder that people are evolving to be more and more attractive

Real life vs Societal expectations
Yeah, news flash people, boobs generally only look “perky” while in a bra. A few are super lucky and have naturally perky boobs, most don’t. And this is because, SURPRISE, boobs are intended to feed babies and it’s hard for a baby being cradled in mum’s arm to reach a nipple that’s on the other side of the boob from where its mouth is.
Think of a soda fountain machine. The spouts are all pointing down, right? So you can put soda in a cup being held under the spout? If the spout was sticking straight out, it would be really hard to get a soda out of it.
Babies need to be able to reach a nipple easily so they can eat. Ergo, nipples are usually lower and angled more downward on a naturally hanging boob, both so it’s easier for a baby to reach and so gravity can do its part in pulling milk toward the nipple.
So there you go, outright ANATOMICAL proof that boobs are not there for the benefit of men.
Thank you for that. I never realized. Thanks.
I have incorrectly been saying ‘burqa’ when I meant ‘niqab’ for maybe my whole life.
